Preparing for new CCNP Enterprise
I attempted the CCNP Route twice in October and failed it both times. We welcomed our first child back in April and my wife and I made an agreement; if I failed twice - I'd take a break and wait for the new exam. I knocked out the CCNA Security back in March and the increasing pressure to go after the CCNP S and get it done before the exam change and going into the holidays meant something was going to suffer. We felt like that'd be family time, and we decided to dial it back make it through the holidays and then press on.
After failing twice, we decided it was best to wait. So, now we're through the holidays and I've pre-ordered a course from Kevin Wallace on the CCNP Enterprise Core exam and I've pre-ordered the books. I'm looking at the materials and I'm sure there are others in my position. (Go for it if you guys are after the CCNP R&S still!) Thinking it over, I'm thinking going for the ENARSI (300-410) looks like the best route (no pun intended) first. It has a ton of stuff that overlaps from the CCNP Route exam. https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/training-events/training-certifications/exams/current-list/enarsi-300-410.html
I'm also thinking I relied pretty heavily on the Boson Ex-Sim and NetSim, but it may be time to start looking at EVE-NG as well. My work purchased the Boson ex-sim and net-sim in July - so I will receive the new versions when Boson publishes them.
I just was curious what others were thinking. Does it make sense to go after the specialization first then the Core? The downside of this is of course - materials for the specialty exam will be on the back burner comparative to the Core exams that are now required. But, the concepts in ENARSI are similar enough, I wonder if my ROUTE materials (plus some supplemental materials, etc.) would be sufficient. I'm tentatively thinking take the exam by June and finish the Core by October / November.

CCNP Encor E-Learning Experience
I'm curious to know if anyone else used the CCNP Encor E-Learning from the Cisco Learning Network Store to study for your exam and if you felt the information was sufficient in preparing you. I'm about 1/3 of the way through the material, and am surprised about how light some of the topics are. I'm supplementing the E-Learning with both the Boson Netsim, ExSim, and I use Anki to create flash cards and review every day. So hopefully I'm overly prepared, but still curious to know about anyone's experience with the E-Learning.
