Replaced my remote with a Mele F10 Deluxe, quick review.

Got a Mele F10 deluxe yesterday to replace my plethora of remotes i had due to the shield remote being a POS.
I have a Samsung TV and non HDMI Samsung soundbar. My current setup was a wireless keyboard, Shield controller for navigating and the soundbar remote for controlling volume.
I use the CEC function on the TV so they power on and off together. As the soundbar does not have an HDMI I have to use the remote that came with it.
The Mele F10 Deluxe has IR learning and was easy to program the soundbar remote's buttons over to replace it.
Couple of issues with the remote. There is 4 modes, TV,STB, Mybox, Game. From what i can tell, if you're in TV or STB mode it will use IR signals and can't control the shield. TV and STB modes have the learning option and are where i programmed the volume buttons for the soundbar.
The My Box and game modes will control the box but won;t let you program the volume keys to IR. It's quick and easy to switch between modes.
Here's a couple problems/ solutions i solved with the APK - multilanguage keymap redefiner. Install this app and set you keyboard to this under main settings.
The Home key does nothing. In the MKR app i remapped the home button to "mobile phone - Home" and it works great
Switching between My Box mode and the STB, TV modes sends some signals and fast forwards/ rewinds if you try to adjust the sound while watching something. I assigned all 3 buttons to Unknown in MKR and is working perfectly.
Only other problem I've found is now double clicking the home button does not give me the app window to close out apps like the original remote does. If anyone knows how to set this up that would be great. I'll play around in MKR some more this evening.
I'd say this is a solid replacement for the original remote but is not perfect plug and play out of the box. Can be easily tweaked in about 15 minutes.
Cheapest i found this remote was $23.83 US shipped online.
