Original Character Concept - Nedras, the Sealer King
DISCLAIMER: This is not a character concept from an existing universe, this is completely original.
Jab: A quick lancing jab (from a sword hereafter referred to as “the Blade of Mystery”) followed by a barrage of slashes from a claw of holy magic (hereafter referred to as “Archori”) that ends with a strong upward slash from the Blade of Mystery.
Dash Attack: A strong super-armored roll. Powerful, but laggy.
Nedras’ weight is 106, a step up from Efrodius, but he isn’t clumsy. (Snake, R.O.B., and Banjo & Kazooie have the same weight.) Moves similarly to Ken. (I’m not too sure about weight and movement, but he is heavier than the norm)
Nedras auto-turns to face the opponent (in a 1v1), and, when he isn’t moving, Archori blocks projectiles with a quick upward slash with a range similar to Shulk’s up tilt. If it hits a person, it pushes them away with set knockback.
Nedras is the heavyweight of the Archaen trio, although he is on the lighter end of the spectrum.
Tilts: Up: A far-reaching upward slash from the Blade of Mystery.
Down: A low sweeping slash from Archori.
Side: A simple downward slash from the Blade of Mystery.
Aerials: Up: An upward lancing strike from the Blade of Mystery.
Down: Archori slashes downward, leading into a strong downward spike from the Blade of Mystery. Spikes the opponent, and propels Nedras upward if it hits.
Forward: Archori slashes forward powerfully, spiking the opponent.
Backward: Archori slashes backward, turning Nedras around.
Neutral: Nedras frontflips multiple times, spinning the Blade of Mystery around himself. Smaller and faster than Ike’s. Great combo tool, because of its low start- and end-lag. Similar to Bowser’s neutral air, since Nedras’ multi-hits as well.
Grab: Archori is sent forth, grabbing the opponent and pulling them toward Nedras. Up: Launches the opponent upward with an upward slash of the Blade of Mystery.
Down: Slams the opponent into the floor. Archori also swirls around Nedras to disrupt any enemy seeking to exploit his weaknesses.
Forward: Archori releases the foe and Nedras slashes at the opponent with the Blade of Mystery, launching them forward.
Backward: Archori sends the opponent backward, but prematurely releases so Nedras can do a powerful lancing attack similar to Shulk’s back air.
Zair (using grab midair): Functions the same as Samus’. Tethers to the ledge.
Smashes: Up: Archori emulates a swift Ike’s upward smash as Nedras skewers upwards with the Blade of Mystery. It does require accuracy, but Archori sends the opponent towards the skewer.
Down: Archori is sent forward to grab the opponent and launch them into Nedras’ prepared backward stab. Functions similar to Ganondorf’s. Grabs from the ledge, but the target has to not be invincible.
Forward: Archori grabs the opponent and pummels a few times as Nedras unleashes a powerful overhead cleaving strike. Lacks range, but not power.
Specials: Up: Functions similarly to Joker’s grappling hook, using Archori.
Down: A counter that grapples the opponent with Archori. If Final Smash is ready, then Holy Champion’s Creed is unleashed. Otherwise, Nedras just unleashes an overhead strike, similar to his forward smash.
Forward: A powerful skewer with the Blade of Mystery that travels far. If it hits an opponent, Nedras pivots the sword and does a powerful overhead strike. A situational move, mainly because it doesn’t combo into anything and it has clumsy endlag. Neutral special is obviously far worse, because at least it has it uses.
Backward: Nedras unleashes a Draconic Roar, functioning similarly to Mewtwo’s down special.
Neutral: Nedras stomps with one foot, shaking the earth in front of him. Does good shield damage, like DK’s down special on ground, although Nedras’ is one hit. Sends the opponent upward, and has some bad endlag. Possibly his worst move, but it has its uses.
Final Smash 1: Last Knight of Man Nedras rushes forward with the Blade of Mystery and delivers a strong lancing strike to the first opponent in range. The cutscene that follows transforms the Blade of Mystery into the Blade of Reckoning (essentially a combination of Archori and the Blade of Mystery). This infuses the Blade of Reckoning with golden-white flames, and unleashes a strong upward slash, similar to Ike’s dash attack.
Final Smash 2: Holy Champion’s Creed Nedras holds the Blade of Mystery in front of him as he channels black and purple flames. They cover his left eye and the Blade of Mystery. Speaking in a dark and solemn tone, he leaps forward and unleashes a blindingly fast combo of strikes, slashes, and jabs, unaided by Archori. This is his stronger Final Smash, killing all but heavyweights at 0%, and heavyweights at well below 50%.
FS1 Quotes: “Fear my divine wrath,” “My oath binds me,” and “Praise the One!”
FS2 Quotes: “dark chuckling,” “I am unstoppable,” and “I will end you.”
Variant Final Smash Quotes (if the enemy is of dark devotions): “My oath is fulfilled!(FS1),” and “Your tyranny ends here.(FS2)”
Victory Animations: sheathes his sword on his back “We shall cross blades again.”
does his neutral special “I will not fall here.”
in his idle anim., ready to fight “Hone your skills, and you may win.”
Variant Victory Animations (if the enemy is of dark devotions): his eye pulses with Holy Champion’s black and purple flames “Run while you can.”
Archori swirls around him “I will protect my people!”
emits a Draconic Roar as Archori slashes in front of him
Taunts: Up: Archori swirls around him, possibly hitting an opponent “You cannot run.”
Down: Nedras holds the Blade of Mystery before him, momentarily transforming into how he looks in Holy Champion’s Creed, a form called Holy Champion
Side: points the Blade of Mystery forward “I am the Holy Champion!”
Opinions would be great to hear if certain moves sounds overpowered or out of place, or any other general tips.
