My thought process behind an UNLIKELY but not impossible idea of a last minute price drop. Or just some last minute nugget of info.

but wanted more intake on it.
I honestly have been thinking that ever since the Ps5 price was revealed. If it did happen, if Satya nadella really REALLY wants Phil Spencer to be competitive with Sony, I think a $50 drop is the magic number. $100 would be too much.
The games showcase said there was more info to come before the end of the year. And I have this feeling in my gut. I can't get it out. Xbox is sitting on something. Idk what but it's something. At first I thought it was like a streaming stick or maybe an app that streams XCloud to another tv in the house. Then I thought that might drop sales of their consoles if ppl just bought that. Then I thought maybe it's a game. Maybe Flight Simulator is a launch game and they're waiting to announce. Then I thought "how many ppl would that really bring in?" Then I thought maybe a price drop. But it's so last minute you never know how these kinda of things operate.
Having a digital event right before preorder date, showing off a bunch of games on the series x/s, maybe a game release date is being pushed up to the launch, and a finishing off the event with a classic Phil Spencer speeches:
"Today we've shown you ... We at team Xbox have always wanted to deliver the best possible experience to gamers by offering the most entertainment at the best value. To continue that trend, we've decided to offer our fans more. We're excited to announce that tomorrow, September 22, gamers will be able to pre-order Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S for a November 10th release at the low prices of $449 and $249 respectively. Price adjustments will be made in all markets to reflect this change. Check xbox.com for prices and the exact time pre-orders will be available in your area. We hope you've enjoyed what you saw here today and can't wait for you all to experience the best generation of gaming on November 10. Thank you and we'll see you then."
Screen fades to show a montage of games footage shown that day, then stops on a black screen with the consoles and prices from various markets.
And the internet goes crazy from there. Idk it's a nice thought but maybe I'm just hyping myself up.
