Will they ever get it right?

I have played since season zero and it's interesting to see who the devs want us to use as legends and which weapons they want us to use. I honestly feel like they don't play the game or they don't care about the community. Especially with not being able to get hit registry correct, it's embarrassing.
I enjoyed this game until the end of season 2. When they added SBMM it killed the game for me. Not because I don't enjoy a challenge but because it took the joy out of casually playing. I know I'm not great at the game but for some reason I constantly get put up against diamond and predators when I'm barely platinum. I've also noticed getting put up against full premade squads even if I'm solo. They need to get rid of SBMM for pub games 😏
It's about trial and error. They nerfed Path until nobody really wants to use him, will they admit they made a mistake and adjust his grapple cool down time or make us suffer?? 35 seconds is ridiculous. Will they find a way to buff lifeline? the only combat medic who now gets outshined by 3 legends when it comes to reviving, caustic, gibraltar and mirage.
They say they adjusted the loot but it's like the scene from Friday koolaid no sugar, ham no burger, peanut butter no jelly. I land hot zone to get a mozambique, purple light extended, ranger scope, cells but no armor. I'm not asking for a lot respawn, but goodness can I get two things that match??

Where can I purchase a laptop/other electronics that offers a military discount? Generally I don't ask for it but I don't have much money being a single E3 and I badly need to get a laptop for college, thanks!

So I have a soldier who is facing a chapter 14. The kid isnt generally a bad kid but definitely wasnt made for the army. He messed up by talking to the brigade SGM in a tone that the brigae SGM did not appreciate. Fast forward and he received a company grade article 15 for disrespecting an Nco.
The chapter is whatever hes happy to be out but I dont want to see htis kid lose his benefits. He deployed and did his job. You could even say he went above and beyond when we were deployed. He deserves those benefits.
Can they put him out with anything less than an honorable with a chapter 14? Are character witnesses enough?

Question about the APFT,
Made a lot of progress with my training and can knock out 80 or so pushups nowadays. However I tend to collapse from exhaustion around the time it takes for me to complete that. about 80-90 seconds or so. Could I get DQ'd from the test for not being able to hold a proper rest position for the portion of the test I'm too tired to do pushups? Thanks

So I have a 16 year old niece that is planning to enlist and just want to make sure the recruiter isn’t full of shit.
Much to my chagrin the recruiter is a NG recruiter and has stated that this spring when she turns 17 she can sign up (DEP) which I understand since I did the same thing. One part that doesn’t sound correct is that this summer she can go to training for 10 days and effectively be in the guard and drill with her unit while she finishes high school?
Im not a huge fan of the guard or reserves at least not without prior active duty and stressed to her that she should go active immediately out of high school if she is serious. Which leads to the other part that didn’t sound right that being the recruiter said she can convert to active duty RA at anytime after heading to basic being in the guard.
Is any of this correct?

Can you change your MOS while in the ranger regiment? I have a 91b option 40 contract and the more I think about it the more I want to go infantry last time I called my recruiter they had open spots for 11X option 40 but I already signed the contract so I’d have to RENO. I was thinking instead to just go through with the contract I already have and see it I could switch to something combat related while there(if I make it there).

Okay. So we were told to go to the airport in OCPs. Multiple people repeatedly asked the sergeants whether or not we could change once we got there and they said yes. I explicitly ask one last night and she said yes, there were ~5 other people there who heard it. Today I (and ~20 others) changed and got reemed out by a 1SG and they said they took my name down and it would come back up after HBL. One of the sergeants who another person named denied ever saying that. I'm in AIT, what's likely to happen?

I ask here because it's probably a generic question, but... I was interested in either the Army or Air Force, maybe the Navy because I am interested in learning about aviation/avionics. Unfortunately, I got diagnosed with type-2 diabetes in August so that idea went out the window. If I want to work with aircraft technology, what's a comparable civilian path in terms of education/certification? I wanted to go for a 15-series MOS, probably a 15F... That sounded interesting based on what I read.
I apologize if this is an ignorant question- I don't know much about the military besides reading the website- but I'm just curious what I would need to do to make this a reality.

Edit: ATRRS is back up but not that enlightening. No 51C2O producing classes exist and the skill level 3 descriptions imply it's meant for officers.

Next June, I'm going to be graduating with a BS in Computer Science, and because I wanted to join the military, I decided to drop by the local army recruiting station while I was on break. And the whole thing feels like a whirlwind. I walked into the office last Friday, and now I'm set to take the ASVAB 5 days later and going to MEPS the day after that. The whole time, I have been asking about OCS while my recruiters all pushed for me to enter as an E-4. At first, they told me that I likely wouldn't qualify because my father was a green card holder (managed to confirm that would not be an obstacle). Now, they're telling me to go to MEPS, sign my contract, and renegotiate it after I graduate. Their reason for this was that I need to have graduated to apply to OCS. I do not feel that I am being given all of the information I need. Could anyone tell me if what my recruiters are telling me to do is viable. Thanks.
Update: First, thank you to everyone who commented. Your responses were informative and confirmed that no, I was not crazy for not wanting to sign a contract I didn't want less than a week after first walking into the station. Earlier today, when I received a call from my recruiter, I informed him of my decision to submit an OCS packet in June as opposed to signing a contract on Thursday. After being transferred between him and the station commander, they accepted that decision. And also told me that the whole matter might be made moot by the fact that MEPS was not happy to learn of my peanut allergy. Regardless, thank you all again for you assistance.
PS: I am going to be so fracking nettled if peanuts keep me out of the military.

To start off this question I have to say that I'm honestly embarrassed and a little ashamed I feel the way I do. I am go to AIT soon as a 25U and I'm afraid I did not make the right job choice. I don't want to see combat at all. I wanted an office job as safe as 42A but I'm afraid that 25U isn't that. I do not want to go outside the wire. I thought of the military as a good opportunity to grow, get a paycheck, get college, see the world, and make unforgettable friends. And it may be that. But now I'm starting to see the Army as a hot bed of depression and leadership that has no regard for their subordinate's well being physically or mentally. The veteran suicide rate scares me. I'm afraid that the Army will not make me a better person but it will hurt me in the long run. I'm afraid that I'll go into combat and that if I make it out alive I'll be scarred mentally for the rest of my life. I don't know what to do or how to feel about the Army or my MOS.
Edit: I understand it's not really a question but I just need some guidance because I don't know what to do. Though I know the bulk of the answers I'll get will be calling me a coward and along the lines of "tough shit you made your bed now lay in it."

I'm about to take my national registry for EMT-B and I bumped into a recruiter that told me 68W actually get a chunk of their AIT shortened if you already have the federal civilian cert.
I'd like to go in and see if my time in that MOS could get me to EMT-A or even Paramedic when I get out so I have that ready to go.
I was interested in a 2 Year Active with the 2-year active reserve so I can come back and get working ASAP and be out when I'm 26
I want to be a soldier and this is more experience for my career choice but is this objectively advantageous when compared to getting the coin for civi-medic, or am I taking on time on what would take me a year to get in the civilian world?
Tl;Dr: Would AIT for 68W get shorter with EMT-B Cert? Can I use my 2 years active to get up to Paramedic or EMT-A or would that be in the 2 year reserve? Is the 4 years down worth it compared to dropping 6k on 1 year in the civi world?

It's been literally my dream since I was a kid to serve in the US Army, but I had pretty severe eczema since I was a kid (I have it noticeably in every fold of my body, elbow creases, behind my legs, my neck, etc.) and I found out in high school that it was an automatic DQ. So back then, my dreams of applying for a service academy or joining ROTC was dashed.
However, now that I'm about to graduate college, I got a bunch of call from recruiters which revived my interest, and got me excited about attempting to apply for a shot at OCS and commission as an officer. I thought in my head, might as well give it a shot and try to go through MEPS?
However, I have very severe eczema. It's literally all over my medical records, and there's no way I can hide it, nor is it a "mild condition". With this in mind, should I even bother? I was thinking if I get DQ'ed, I can try to apply for a waiver, but that takes a lot of time (I have to go to a doctor, and try to convince him my eczema is mild for him to write me a letter)I heard waivers take forever, and I heard somewhere the army doesn't even grant waivers for eczema right now. Should I even bother with trying to join, or should I cut my losses and quickly find another post-graduation plan?
Like usually I would just attempt it to see how it goes, but I don't even want to bother with all the back-and-forth time wasting of going to a doctor, going back and forth from MEPS, going to my recruiter for the 17th time, if I know this is a nearly impossible situation.

Tell me about OCS... please
Prior service guy here. I had absolutely no issues while in the military previously. Got out with great markings and good re-enlistment code. Currently working on my second bachelors. 3.0 GPA on the first one. Criminal Justice major with a minor in Political Science.
80-100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, probably 16 minute run time. Not sure how competitive that would be. I haven’t been really training running so I’m sure I can get that down considerably.
Anyway, I’m 29 with a wife and baby so I’d also like to know if I’d have any medium of communication with them while at OCS (if I were selected) and what’s the phone policy? When I was enlisted, I moved around quite a bit. 3 bases in 4 years, so with a family and being an officer I’d like to hope that there’s at least a little more stability. I understand that moving is part of the military but I’m hoping for at least 2-3 years at each location.
I realize these are a lot of questions so if anyone can help or answer some of them, I appreciate it. I think I’m up to speed on the branching situation but if anyone would like to go into that, I’d certainly accept the information.
Thanks in advance...

Need money advice please. Im a 20 year old male, currently in Ait and enlisted in the National Guard. My main priority is to go to college, I have yet to go to college as before joining the army I was working in a factory making about $10 an hour. When I get out of ait my plans are to go to school full time. My issue is I have about 5 grand and a pretty weak car to my name. I live with my parents (i've been willing to move out with friends but they want me to stay a bit longer to get a good footing). Once I start going to school I will basically have zero income other than my gi bill and kicker which is maybe $600 a month only while in school. I dont want to work, have drill, and do full time college and I especially don't want any debt as i've never had any. Anyone got any tips for me? sorry for the wall of text and thank you.
Edit: Also side question: my recruiter told me my MoS (25b) after getting some college out of the way I can make $70 grand a year starting, is that some bull or is there some truth in that?

I'm planning on joining the reserves to help pay for college, but I haven't decided on what MOS to try and go for. I've narrowed it down to something in intelligence, civil affairs, or psychological operations. MI because I like the idea of turning raw information into intelligence and absolutely love making powerpoints, and civil affairs and psyops because I like the "hearts and minds" aspect of it and they seem like they get a decent chance to go overseas as a reservist.
The deciding factor will probably depend on what I would actually be doing in each job. I know what you do at weekend drills doesn't change much from job to job, since it's mostly just making sure you have your shots and know which end of the rifle to point away from yourself. But from what I can tell, what you do during annual training can change depending on your MOS and what unit you're assigned to, and it doesn't always have to do with what you job is (CRBN specialists, for example, don't do much relating to CRBN). So which of those fields would give me the best shot at getting to do what I sign up to do? I live less than an hour away from my state's biggest NG base and within driving distance of a CA battalion and a reserve Joint Intelligence Center, if that changes anything.

I'm trying to comprehend that new Directive for promotions:
I'm currently CLI, does this mean I am automatically fully promotable?
Section in question
(3) Command List Integration. Command list integration is rescinded for RA and USAR (AGR) Soldiers only and replaced with mandatory list integration. All Soldiers meeting the eligibility criteria in table 3-1 (at the enclosure) for mandatory list integration must be integrated into the promotion recommended list. Soldiers integrated into the list will be credited with all earned promotion points. The ability of local commanders to deny integration into the promotion recommended list (as was set forth in command list integration policy) is rescinded. Instead, commanders will use the bar to continued service (with counseling) to identify those individuals who have no potential for continued service or leadership. Soldiers who meet time in service (TIS) and time in grade (TIG) eligibility, but are not otherwise eligible for promotion list integration because they do not meet other eligibility criteria, will not be integrated into the promotion recommended list until they overcome the basis for their ineligibility. When they meet all eligibility criteria, these Soldiers will be integrated into the promotion recommended list and will compete for promotion with all earned promotion points.
Simplified:
  • CLI is removed and replaced with MLI
  • You must meet the requirements in 3-1 (APFT, Weapons Qualification, Not Flagged, BW Compliant, Mandatory List Integration time, allowed to reenlist)
  • Can't be denied by Commanders
  • Except you can be barred to prevent it instead by said Commander
  • You get all your promotion points and are competing with everyone
Unless I'm missing something, I basically just got a free (P) status.

I am attempting to re enlist. I ELSed in Basic from the RA for refusing to train in Jan of this year due to being reclassed needs of the Army and got out with an RE3/JGA. I am attempting to re enlist in the Navy Reserve or National Guard. My recruiters told me I need to come up with my counseling statements I received at discharge. I do not have those because I lost them due to moving several times. My attempts to contact RHU at Benning and my old training unit have been unsuccessful in gaining those counselings back. I appear to be at a standstill here as I talk to these personnel at the units and they tell me that they will get back with me and they don’t. I ordered my personnel record from NPRC and the counselings are not in the packet. I am told by drill sgts on brigade staff duty that the counselings are filed locally and then destroyed. So, in essence I am tracking down counselings that don’t exist anymore. What can I do here, who should I contact? Thanks!

Thank you. Not IT but I’ve always been a teckie and liked it. I have a BA in Psych from UCLA. But I was always the guy fixing my buddies computers and trouble shooting.
Thanks, think I will be fine

The Navy and Guard recruiters I spoke with told me to keep bugging the RHU unit at Benning in order to proceed with my enlistment, but unfortunately the SDS I was dealing with appears to have blocked my #. Recruiters, does this appear to be an issue that will be non negotiable when it comes time for MEPS?

Here's two: any recommended literature? Wanna brush up on American History but any other suggestions, especially targeted towards leadership or good mental prep is appreciated
2nd question is anyone have tips for studying a foreign language aside from Rosetta Stone?

I'm leaning towards joining the Air Force but I think I'd give up all the "benefits" so to speak of the AF to be a 15T in the army and crew chief and fly, where as in the Air Force I have no possibility to fly. Thoughts or advice? Thanks!

Not sure it pertains to here, I’m out of the guard, and while I’m finished with a part of school I’m looking to head onto the paramedic portion of my education, am I still entitled to GI Bill benefits?
No deployments, and honorably discharged.

I'm currently on block leave from basic training. I'm going into week 7. Anyone have any information on the day to day of a 25Q? How is AIT? I know the basics of it but some further info would be great.

Is the GAT still required training? I don't see it in ar 350-1 and link in the ako front page is dead.

Currently in DEP for O9s. Just graduated college and my expected ship date is in January. Long story short I injured my knee trying to get my run time down. I think I may have subluxed it, felt almost like a dislocation but it was still in the correct spot when i hit the ground. Pretty intense pain. It healed, but doesn't feel 100%. I'm no doctor but I think I have some torn cartilage floating around in there that is causing inflammation now. I already needed one med waiver for my shoulder before, am I screwed if I go see a doctor and need surgery?
Thank you for your time.

Alright, crazy question, looking for a little guidance: A few months ago I re enlisted. I volunteered for the airborne option. I called my branch manager and was not able to request a duty assignment prior to airborne school. A few days after that... bingo; I’m on assignment. Where to? FT FUCKING POLK. Went to airborne school. Am now 5 jump chump. Here’s the question. How likely am I to be sent to the 509th Geronimo? I’m still on assignment, no orders in hand yet so only projected duty station.

Can anyone give me a run down on what the process for a 35L packet looks like? I have the list of what I need in my packet, but I'm National Guard, so I'm having to do a lot of the leg work on my own, with a little guidance through phone calls and text. Luckily, I live 5 minutes away from my armory so getting there isn't the problem, but I'm completely lost, I've never done something like this. Also, if anyone has been to the school, I'd appreciate any advise without violating too much OPSEC.

-First time making a comment on Reddit- Prior service Marine 0311 got out July 2016 100% want to be a Green Beret, been given different advice and wanted some opinions. Would it be better to go straight 18x and go through the whole prep process, which I know to be behind and delayed dates. Or pick an MOS with transferable skills and then submit a package. The only reason I’m joining is to go SF. I have prior enlisted friends currently going through 18x and say it’s a haze fest and their treated fairly subpar, like new boot stuff. Before I left the Marine Corps I completed the six week Marsoc screener, but didn’t get selected, and performed well physically so not worried about preparing on my own, just wanted some thoughts and to see if any SF dudes on here could share some insight on which decision is best.

So DAPAM 600-25 got redone and it is just some generic BS and STEP. Did all of the material from the old pub go somewhere else? Like the more pointed glide paths(which weren't that great) for each CMF.

I’ve been CTRL-Fing TRADOC 350-6 trying to figure out if TRADOC students are authorized a mustache or not. I’m being told that it’s against policy, but can’t find where. I’ve tried FLW CP 18 as well, and can’t find any actual documentation to back it up. Help. Edit: LT relented, said he’d eat his words and that no policy exists.

When recruiters are filling out age waivers, does active and reserve time count the same or is there math involved?
